The Farmer

I watched a particularly gruesome spectacle. A starving stray cat was caught by a farmer. The farmer was full of excitement; he had trained his prized pig to kill. There would be a show. He placed the cat into the pigpen. The terrible beast charged at the cat. It was sickening. The cat fought as hard as it could, but in the end the pig overwhelmed the poor thing. The starving creature’s life was extinguished to the cheers of dumb hicks. The pig marched for his master full of pride, and boasting its victory.
The next night the farmer held a banquet. He slaughtered his prized pig to feed his esteemed guests. The meal was had in the best of spirits all commenting on the quality of such a fine pig. The pig was picked clean and the bones and leftovers mixed in the trough for the other young pigs.
The moral of the story is, a good pig, loyal to his master, and proud of his work, can also be a good dinner for his master too. So pigs, keep killing for your masters, entertain them, and when they are bored with you they’ll serve you up for dinner. You end up just like all the starving cats you’ve killed. Alone and bloody on the slaughterhouse floor.
